A Little Bit About Me
Salam alaikum, I hope you are well. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am originally from continental Europe but have lived in the UK for almost 15 years now. I work as a researcher and love my job. I have travelled a lot as part of my work and lived in different parts of the world. I still travel regularly to visit my family who live abroad. I love cooking, reading, going to the gym, and spending time with family and friends. I keep up with current affairs and I am interested in politics, history and literature. Healthy living is important for me. I eat well and exercise regularly (but life would be sad without chocolate 🤓). I would love to train as a personal trainer for Muslim women one day (or a nutritionist/dietician) - maybe some time in the future when I have a bit more time. My religion is very important for me - in terms of it being a moral (and practical) compass for life, the five daily prayers, giving sadaqah, reading (and implementing) Qur'an, and being aware of the impact our actions have on others, and especially those who have a right on us. I am not a very complicated person (what you see is pretty much what you get), but I expect basic respect, courtesy and kindness (you'll get the same).

What I Am Looking For
I am looking for a practicing Muslim (ideally in his 40s/50s and divorced, like me) who is kind, generous and who treats others well because he knows that that a record is being made of everything we do or say. Five prayers are a must. Someone who is educated and can hold a conversation about current affairs, politics etc. Someone who is not arrogant or looks down on people. Someone who will respect my family as I will respect his. I do not care if you have been married before, if you have kids or not, what your past looks like. What matters is the person you are now and the future you want to build. I would like someone who is financially stable and who would like to achieve something in life (whatever that may be - it could be as simple as wanting to have a tranquil life, create a good life for your kids, providing for your parents in their old age etc). I am attracted by maturity, kindness and generosity. I look after myself and my health, and I would expect the same from you. I am not interested in people who are currently married and who are looking for a second wife - please don't even message me, as that's completely out of the question. I am also not looking to get married to someone who does not currently live in the UK.
